A full four years after Katrina, there are over 14,000 families still seeking housing assistance in the Greater New Orleans area.
As a former New Orleans and Jefferson Parish resident, I’d like to point out that four years later, there are still organizations working to help and it’s not too late for you to donate your time or money to the St. Bernard Project, a grassroots nonprofit organization that constructs homes in less than 12 weeks for about $15,000 each.
